DLO: Michael Jackson Case

For reading, my class was shown more unjust topics to choose from. A handful of us chose the topic "Doctor in the House". Along with that, we had to create a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on a doctor who was accused of something. I chose the story of Michael Jackson and Conrad Murray. Hope you enjoy!

DLO: Refugees and Asylum Seekers

For the past 2 - 3 weeks, a handful of other children and myself have been reading a book called: Being Kiwi. It was about refugees from around the world and their experience coming to NZ and what they found difficult. During that we had task like creating a DLO.  This is my DLO on Refugees and Asylum Seekers.

For reading, my group and I have been reading a book called "Driving us into the future" which inspired me to create this emaze based on the History of Electric Cars. This Presentation  talks about the early stages and also the future of electric cars. However these are only theories.

Flag Debate

Is it really worth 25.7 million dollars on a new flag that not everyone wants? Why don’t people just stick with the flag we already have?We should but we shouldn’t! If you’re asking yourself those two things, Then I’m going to tell you why we shouldn't.

P.1    Buying a new flag is probably another reason just to make our country look better. I mean would you rather get use to another new flag all over again or don’t you like the one that we’ve had from 1834. We should keep our flag because buying a new one is a waste of money. Imagine all that money going to charity, the poor, saving animals enclosures and building new homes for people without them.

P.2  We should just stick with our flag that we have right now because it's not long before all of yous that hate it will miss it so much.Yeah, our flag is not the best but it's all we need to represent our country.  If you wanted to change our flag a long time ago then why did you start debating now.

P.3   I guess you’re all thinking there is nothing that will change my mind going for the flag debate but maybe you should be thinking that I should show you

Conclusion

I think that we should go against the flag debate because the  flag doesn’t only represent the country it represents me, my family and everyone one that lives in New Zealand.

   What you need:

• A teacher
• 4 flags
• Children to cross
• Patrol monitors
• Possibly a raincoat

Steps:

1.Put on vest, grab 4 of the 40 flags

2.Put your bag in the office

3.Wait for the kids that will cross

4. Wait for a teacher

5.Then walk to the lights

6.Hold your arms out so no one can go past.

7.Press the button and when it goes shout check cross now!!!

P.s: If someone lives on the other side of the road then you have to use the square.

THE LITTER IS EVERYWHERE WHO IS GOING TO CLEAN IT UP?

   Litter

The litter in our world is causing our world to look just like junk. The plastic soup is full of that junk and is not safe for any of the creatures , animals and people that live there. People  are not being careful of where they put their rubbish and that is not good.

We need to think about what the world would look like if it was just full of junk. In times of storms you can put your rubbish in places like the atic your garage or any place that will not let the storm knock it over. Some people are just putting their rubbish on the ground and not thinking of what could happen to the world we know is so beautiful.

We can help by looking where we put our rubbish and  making sure we put our rubbish in the bin. We may not be able to stop others from not putting their rubbish in the bin but you can set an example by showing them how its done. remember kids that when you are at school that you should always put your rubbish in your bag or in the rubbish bin and when you put your rubbish in the bin.

When you are finished always make sure that you close the lid for the rubbish bin, people are leaving their rubbish bin lids open and that is how the rubbish is blowing everywhere ,out to the sea and in other places .

Many people that litter are the people that should read this because if they were the world and the world had feelings then they would feel dirty, disgusting and smell like they haven't been cleaned up but if that person was cleaned up then that person would feel happy and clean .

We should all respect the world and put our rubbish in the bin or else we are the ones that are not keeping this world safe. i chose this topic because I want to remind people that the world is clean and that they should leave it like that forever.

King Fisher

The kingfisher has goldish orange stomach ,black and blue wings. It likes to eat fish and crayfish.They live in burrows on the edges of streams, lakes and ponds.Sometimes they fly on to a branch look down at the water and wait for a  fish to pop out and then they will soar like an eagle down to the pond and catch it.

turtles

Sea turtles are one of the first animals that lived before dinosaurs. Today the seven species of  this reptile is threatened or endangered. People are taking them to the black market to make bracelets , necklaces , meat and they are chucking they all their rubbish into the sea and the turtles predators are eating all of the eggs from the mother turtles.

Rangitoto trip

                                  

Wow! That is the coolest thing I have ever seen, I am sitting down eating my lunch looking at the beautiful Island across Mission Bay, the Rangitoto Island.

                

                               

One of my best friends is sitting down on the green grass eating  lunch away with me. Rangitoto is just across the shore.  I am thinking the Sisters are lucky to have a beautiful view outside their gorgeous house.Next to their house is a fountain shaped as a ball , two statues one is Mother Mary  and the other is Saint Joseph. Next to where the room 4 is  sitting  are benches  set up to view the stunning island.  Mr. T, our lovable caretaker is eating his lunch in the bench. He must be enjoying the view from where he is sitting.  

I can feel lollies falling on me. Everyone is standing up yelling to one of the sisters for a lolly scramble. I pick up a lolly and taste it - tastes delicious. It feels like right now I can do that whole day again I can feel the sun across my face . I can  feel the beautiful light breeze sweeping on my face. I  can see the lovely view from outside of the house. I can see the wonderful birds flying free in the air, and smell the wonderful flowers and the sea. All these things really impress me.

As Mrs Kopua  is telling us to go back to the bus I am  feeling sad that the day has ended.  So now I am going back to school to have some milk and to have some time on the play ground.

Welcome to the rainbow house! Where you can say weeee! All the way to your living room.The coolest house is portobello and London, come on bring out the kids and everyone. known as the Rainbow House, the home has a slide that Goes all the way to a bedroom to the kitchen, an incredible colourful circle staircase and a rotating bed.The 4 bedroom house is like a jigsaw. The house is loaded with colours especially from the rainbow. People are saying that this is Oustanding but way expensive. I suggest you save your money and start packing.

An asteroid takes a stop to earth

One day ago  an asteroid passed through earth tearing down many trees. Astronomers watch as the asteroid speeds across the earth.This happened in New Zealand at 6am yesterday.The asteroid was 40,000 kilometres away in space.None of the people saw. People thought that the asteroid happened because the asteroid might have lost it’s way through the asteroid belt and came in the direction of Earth.

NEWS FLASH !OH LORDE, YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN

A couple of nights ago, New Zealand’s famous  Lorde had taken the best rocking video award at MTV awards. Her song

“Royals” also won the award for  the best singer hit song at the billboard earlier this year. On that night,  Lorde was wearing Ba Bam of  a black t-shirt, black lipstick, black high heels and of course her best attitude. Lorde was also running for best female video, but lost to Katy Perry. However she won the best rock award over Linkin Park, Imagine Dragon , Arctic Monkeys and Black Keys. Our kiwi singer Lorde, introduced her good friend Taylor Swift.

I am fluffy with a pair of black jeans ,a red t-shirt that says "this is me", Black sneakers and black hair with highlights of pink.My planet includes plants that are Red, trees that are Brown, the sea is  actually ice-cream that is the colour of a pineapple. The sky of my planet is totally white  , my mountain is  called Echo and is purple.The transport is made out of a cloud and has purple,red and blue lollies all over it. My planets animals are called mallow puffs. Mallow puffs are fluffy pink purple or blue and are so cute. My language is called BFF galaxy which means we have memories from the past and the future. We are called Skylight because we make each other feel like the light of the world.Our houses are mushrooms but they are so shiny.My best friends name is Butter Cup who lives in Ice-cream L.A and my name is bella we are the best of friends .I was named after my sister but we have different spellings .Our planet usually sounds like the beautiful ocean nature. It smells like perfume that has been splattered all over our planet . There's one spot that is the only spot I like and that is called Sydney Waterfalls. Everyone on this planet loves Sydney Waterfalls.

In India he led the non-protest fight for Indian independence from                      

the British Empire.

He was born in 2 October 1869.He came from upper class family. His father was the leader in the community Mahatma Gandhi was his other name which meant a term that's means great soul.Mahatma Gandhi was put in prison many times just because of organizing protest. He would not eat while he was in prison as a protest and disobedience. The British government had to release him because the Indian people were known to love him. The British government was scared of what they would do if they let him die.

Gandhi said as if you were to die tomorrow or learn as if you were

to live forever.

Charlie and the chocolate factory book review 5

About the story:

a boy named Charlie Bucket loves chocolate and every time he got to go by the shops he will look at kids that pull out chocolate from their pockets.The worst thing is that there was a chocolate factory close to his house so he can see it but when he finds a ten dollar note he used it to by a chocolate and in that chocolate he found a ticket to the chocolate factory, oh he was so happy.
