  1. Kia ora Ferah,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey this year and congratulations for completing your first activity. I have been blown away with the amount of students who have been participating from Christ the King School. What motivated learners you all are. I am so impressed. I think there is going to be a big competition for those prizes.

What a great way to kick start your journey, you have shared three really interesting facts. I also learnt that 30% of New Zealand was covered by forest. This is why our country is so unique and beautiful. I am lucky enough to live on the edge of a native bush, which is like a small scale forest. We have native birds such as kereru's, tui's, and fantail's visiting our garden everyday. We are so lucky. Have you been to a forest in New Zealand before? If so, where about in the country was the forest that you visited?

It’s awesome to see that you have included some great information about Aotearoa. Please remember that when you find information online you must put it into your own words. For future posts, please make sure any information you use is paraphrased (written in your own words) to make sure you receive full points for activities.

Thank you for starting the programme so promptly. I am excited to see more of your incredible posts over the summer.

I hope you are enjoying your holidays,
