General knowledge
Thailand is a country on southeast Asia’s indochina peninsula. The capital and largest city is Bangkok, it is known for tropical beaches, royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples. Thai is spoken exclusively in Thailand, by about 60 million people. The dialect spoken in the Central Region is considered as Standard Thai and is used throughout the country in schools, in the media and for official reasons.

Clothing
In thailand  clothing is very similar to what we would wear in summer . For girls you would wear skirts, shorts, loose dresses and any shirt shirts while the boys would wear shirts and short. For shoes both genders would wear comfortable flat shoes or sandals. Traditional clothing is called Thai, it can be worn by men, women or children. For example Chut thai for woman usually includes a pha nung or a chung kraben, blouse and seua. Pat. Chut thai for men includes a chong kraben or pants , a raj pattern shirt, with knee length white socks  and sabai.

Sport
Thai people are great enthusiast and sport lovers. Thailand sport play a major part in the everyday life of a Thai national. Thailand people enjoy both traditional and native games as well as modern games. In Thailand sports they have sports that are similar to what we play. Golf is the most popular sport apart from badminton, snooker, soccer, tennis and bowling. Traditional games are boxing, kite fighting, they also play do martial arts, athletics and lots more.

Conclusion
Looking at my research, I believe that thailand is a marvelous country with beautiful skies and breathtaking views. I have learned a lot of facts such as their climate, sports they play, the language they speak and the clothes they wear. I think that it would be an honour to live in their country,

Rugby 7's

Introduction
The first Rugby 7’s  was created  in Scotland in 1823 but was played in  1883. It was founded by a  local butcher and Rugby Union player, Ned Haig and David Sanderson proposed a short version of the full game as a fundraising idea for their local club “Melrose RFC”. The first tournament took place on April 28, 1883 at Greenyards, Melrose. Eight teams competed with Melrose beating Gala in the final. The teams must consist of two halves over ten minutes.

Rules
A rugby 7s consist of two halves of seven minutes with a 2 minute half-time break. The final competition can be played over two halves of ten minutes and the teams must include 7 players. A few rules are no forward passes which is when a person with the ball passes it to a person in front of them, if a player loses possession of the ball and it go forward that's called a knock-on. Every time someone scores they must drop-kick. All in all the rugby 7s are a fast, great game that is similar to Rugby Union but has slight changes to the rules.

Equipment
In  rugby 7s thew equipment needed is a rugby ball which shaped like an oval & a kick off tee to kick the ball. For the uniform you will need a jersey, shorts, headgear for protection on the player’s head. A mouthguard to protect the player’s teeth, a pair of boots with studs or cleats which s the points at the bottom of the boots, a base layer to help with compression, rugby socks & shoulder and shin pads to protect their shoulders and shins. You need all this equipment for minor injuries such as bruises and scrapes etc.

Positions
In 7s rugby there are 7 positions available to teams. There is the ‘Props’- they are involved in the scrum and help lift the person jumping in a line out with their upper body strength. The hooker is the person that throws the ball into the line out and tries win possession of the ball in a scrum. There is a scrum half who is the link between forwards and backs. They are also the decision makers on whether to pass the ball quickly to the backs or keep it close to forwards. The fly half can kick the ball but also helps manage the team’s performance. There is two more positions which are centre & wing, centre is the key player in both attack and defence. In defence they will attempt to tackle the attacking players and in attack they will use their power, speed and fancy skills to run the ball. The wing is the runner of the team and always set up to score a try. These 7 positions are very helpful to use in rugby 7s.

The Helpers
The Rugby 7s  consist of many helper for example a performance coach , a head coach , an assistant coach, a head athletic trainer and performance  analyst. They also consist of a Massage therapist, a team manager and an academic advisor. A rugby 7s team needs these staff members to help hold the a team together and keep it strong.  These people try there best to help the team win the games that they participate in.

Conclusion
Therefore the rugby 7s are a considerable, athletic game for many people to watch, participate and support the game. A lot of people are proud to have the rugby 7s and are haunted by this game when they watch it. Good luck to all the teams this year.

An Ode To St Francis

An ode to St Francis

O’ dearest St Francis,
Your eyes twinkle like the stars in the night sky,
Your gentle smile always glows upon your face,
Your face shows years of knowledge,
You made the world a better place

Born in Assisi, Italy
Inspired by Matthew 10:9 “Do not get any gold, silver and chopper to take with you”,
Adoring son to Pica and Pietro Bernardone
Granted the gifts of prophecy and miracles by God,
Patron Saint of animals and the poor,
Died on October 3rd 1226

O’ generous St Francis,
What does it feel like to be an inspiration to others?,
Did you ever think you would become a saint?,
If you were still here, what would you do with the world?
Your generous heart brings joy to the world,
You inspire me to care for others

I admire your kindness

Room 3 was talking about all the different types of poems such as Autobiography poem, A list poem, favourite colour poem and this is poem is called "An Ode Poem".This is one of my poems that I did of St Francis.

Today I learned what can happen if you copyright something without asking for and what you can do to avoid the consequences. What was hard was that we had to do all of this before lunch time. I really enjoyed todays lesson and learned heaps please share this with your class and friends.

Lesson on Cyberbullying

Lesson on Cyberbullying
Today, Mr Hopkins talked to our class about Cyberbullying, he showed us a video he made on Youtube about Cyberbullying and showed us this Google drawing. We were asked to write three or more questions to ask a Victim of cyberbullying and record our answers.

Victims Response To Questions:
1. Make themselves look powerful in front of classmates and they feel good when they watch other people suffer.
2. Your parents, Teachers or a trusted adult.
3.  I was just the unfortunate one
4. By standing up for yourself and don't be afraid to tell an adult. It's best to speak up now                                                  rather than be afraid for the rest of your life.

Answer the same questions in the comment section down below! :)

The fun part was when we got to start acting out the scenes and the boring part was when we had to wait for the videos to load. Life Metaphor

In this is a Metaphor, I have created this  using google drawing, then I went on google images and searched up "Life", it then came up with the photo I used for the metaphor. After that I wrote the metaphor that is said on the image and I typed it onto the google drawing.

I made this Metaphor not only because I really like this metaphor but also because I wanted to tell you that life isn't about having fun and playing games on digital devices but also that life is special.

BTW would you rather live a
Perfect life or a Happy life?

World Refugee Day

We have been learning about World Refugee day, I have created a slideshow Q & A presentation to show my learning.

I believe that refugees should be allowed to stay in ANY country because it's not one country for one culture. The challenging thing was that we had to summarise everything from google. My question for everyone is Why shouldn't refugees be allowed to enter other countries? Through out my life I have taken advantage of everything but I never noticed that others need more than me, I am very appreciative that  their is no one trying to hurt the life of others or me and I feel very safe here. If you agree with me please leave me a comment down below!
